Desperate - who would you choose: stranger or soulmate?

Youre infatuated w/ a person who you think is your soulmate but this person takes forever to notice you, or isnt interested in return, or is with someone already. Or, a stranger you have just met but instantly gives you all the attention you crave? You know this stranger isnt worthy and is just telling you things you want to hear in order to try to wrap you around their finger.
