Do Zebra Finches urinate a lot or is there something wrong with mine?

My new Zebra finch has a LOT of liquid feces, or pees a lot, is this normal for some finches or is this some kind of contagious disease? She pees hard and shoots it fast. I don't notice her drinking a lot of water but she takes a daily bath in a tub. Am I just noticing it because I use newspaper on the bottom? There is large pools of wet on the newspaper. I seen others use corn bedding and stuff where you wouldn't see the pee.
